How to play
Rectangular spaces appear on screen, each representing a letter along with a category. The object of the game is to guess the word or phrase represented by the rectangular spaces.
Points are awarded as follows:
Each correctly guessed consonant awards 10 points.
Solving the puzzle correctly awards 35 points.
The more players, the more bonus points can be earned! But be wise, only the solver of the puzzle gets to keep his or her points!
Starting the game
To start a game of wordguess simply type start wordguess into the chat.
The game requires a minimum of two players. Once a game has been initiated, each player has 60 seconds to join by typing wordguess into the chat.
Taking your first turn
During your turn you will be able to guess a letter by typing it in the chat and hitting enter. If your guess was correct, the letter you typed will appear in each rectangular space representing that letter. You will then be able to make another guess. Your turn continues until you guess a letter that is not in the word or phrase you are trying to solve.
If you guess incorrectly, your turn is over and the guessing moves to another player. Per turn, a list of previously guessed letters will appear in the chat log.
Consonants and vowels
Guessing consonants are free, however guessing a vowel will cost points. Each vowel costs 30 points to guess.
Solving the puzzle
Ready to solve the puzzle? type solvepuzzle upon your turn and hit enter. Then type your answer into the chat. If your answer is correct, you are the winner, so make sure you don't make any typo's!
